Health-wise the stuff I learned in 2013 is pretty invaluable. I learned about cortisol and that my current living situation is such that it does not promote well being. Emotional and physical well being are not two entirely separate things but very much two facets of the same thing. I’m slightly insulin resistant and estrogen dominant and I need to take both of those things into account when planning my diet.
And silicon is very very bad in hair care products. Yes, I’m late to that party. Just changed my conditioner to one that doesn’t have silicone or parabens and voilá, I smell like strawberry ice cream! Also, have had much less hairs falling out and clogging the drain.
Oh and dairy is now off my food list. It’s awesome how your body just flat out tells you which things it likes and which it doesn’t. Dairy was giving me all kinds of skin symptoms. No dairy = happy body.
For 2014: continued caring for myself and starting to take those selfies. Gotta learn to own it!
